This Christian School was established in 1998, just 4 years after the Rwandan genocide where over 800,000 people were killed in 100 days. The Mission of the School remains the same… “to be a Christian School that is dedicated to offering high quality education to the poor and orphaned children in the surrounding neighborhoods”.
In 2007 THiNK COMPASSION provided scholarships for 23 of the 240 students at the Good Shepherd Primary School. This included their tuition, supplies, and uniforms. That number has grown to over 100 scholarships and now includes Porridge. Many children from the local “Villages” remain on a waiting list.
